The ASRock Z87 Extreme6 is an ATX LGA1150 motherboard based on the Intel Z87 chipset. The board must be combined with DDR3 memory, for which 4 slots are available. In total, the Z87 Extreme6 has 10 Serial ATA connections for hard disks and SSDs. The onboard sound card offers 7.1 channel sound and is based on a Realtek ALC1150 chip.
